Aurora MechElec was founded by two lifelong friends: David Galligan (a level three electrician and heating system engineer) and Rory Doogan (who has over 40 years’ experience in the electrical and heating business). 

David is also a third generation heating system engineer. His grandfather, Jack Galligan, was the heating engineer at Cherry Orchard Hospital. His father, Stephen Galligan, was the heating system and refrigeration system engineer at Fingal Seafoods.

Rory is business manager, with an MSC in Business Management from MUI. He started his career as motor mechanic and studied heat science and thermodynamics in engineering in Bolton Street DIT. He was a specialist in technical engineering for vehicle manufacturers then advanced into business management.

It’s a perfect partnership based on friendship, technical excellence and a passion for delivering practical solutions with value for money to our customers: David brings the practical knowledge and Rory brings the business acumen. 

The whole company is infused with their sense of honesty and integrity in everything they do and will always take the extra time it needs to break things down to a level people can understand and are comfortable with.
